| Comments | [eternal] is unfortunately the only artbook put out by SUEZEN (also known as Fumio Iida) that I know of, and it is a shame since his work is gorgeous to look at. The book contains illustrations from series he has worked on including Yadamon (illos & full frame cel work), Wings of Oneamisu, Roujin Z, Tekkaman, Gatchaman and character design for the game Shining Force II and miscellaneous images created through the years for advertisement & posters. The cover of the book show cases the main character of his manga Marine Color and there are 11 pages dedicated to the colour images used in the manga itself. From happy pixies to beautiful goddesses; from bold warriors to luscious mermaids, SUEZEN uses a range of mediums & styles to depict his characters. My only issue with the book itself, is how in the first 32 pages there is a tendency to put one image on one page, and on the opposite page put a phrase that may or may not be descriptive of the image. This complete waste of space may have been intentional, but I would rather have had more images to look at; and this alas, is the reason why this book doesn’t get an excellent rating. All in all a great buy for those who love all things fantasy & fun.
