Galgrease Hellhound

Presented in a wrap around card board which (which comes in a slipcase shown in the below image to the left – with the red girl) on the inside contains the image of the main character of the Hellhound series (a fantasy type warrior chick who reminds me greatly of Shirow’s 3rd Exon Depot girl) you get the 4 booklets which, when unfolded, are A3 in size and can be used as posters as one side is a 4 panel “silent manga” done in illustrations, and the other side is a full page illustration; as well as a single trading card pack which contains 8 cards and goes towards the Galgrease card set (in which there are 54 regular, 9 hologram and 9 clear cards.) You also get an advertisement flyer telling you about the Galgrease Complete Set (to be reviewed at a later date when I get mine!!!) as well as a postcard that you need to use to apply for this set (you obviously need to be within Japan to apply!)

The popularity in this series lies in the fact that the images and themes are very very ecchi in nature, and the fact that these are some of the most beautiful Shirow images that are out there to date. Their initial rarity probably had alot to do with it too ^_^;
The set is easily available from most good online stores, but be aware that there are many unscrupulous sellers who are currently breaking this set apart and selling each poster booklet seperately at places such as eBay! Don’t be scammed by this! If you really want the original poster booklets that came in the Uppers magazines, ensure you see either the staple marks or the paper rip marks from where the booklet was attached to the magazine, in the seller’s images!

This is definitely a must for any fan of Shirow & pretty girls, but fair warning, the images are very ecchi.
