| Comments | The price of this book is due mainly to the fact that it’s the least available of the 5 Sailor Moon illustrations books, and also one of the most beautiful. As one would expect considering it’s release date, this is the most beautiful of Sailor Moon artbooks because Naoko Takeuchi’s art style has matured so much, and while I still prefer book 4, this artbook is a must if you’re after only one or two of the Sailor Moon artbooks. This artbook contains a gorgeous selection of images of the main Sailor Senshi, as well as introducing you to the Sailor Starlights and Sailor Galaxia. You will also find some breath taking images of Sailor Moon in her different incarnations e.g. Super, Eternal & Neo-Queen. Image spread is mainly full and double pages, with only 2 pages haveing more than 2 images on them. The cover scan below doesn’t show it very well, but the lettering is silver embossed. Considering the cover price of this book, you get a good selection of images presented in a very nice format. It’s a shame that this book has been long out of print; these days you may end up paying quite a bit for the Japanese edition. Please note, there is a licensed Chinese version of this artbook but it is in softcover. There is also a “hardback” version floating around on eBay thats being sold rather cheaply. The quality of artwork is not good and these books are probably bootlegs.
A must for fans of the artist and series
