Comments This softcover book collects together colour sketches of all the main characters in the Sailor Moon universe, from the Sailor Senshi to villains, you’ve got most of them here (although funnily enough, most of the characters presented are female!)
Page after page of sketches by Naoko Takeuchi’s hand, this is a visual delight for fans of the series, as you get to see them in different moods & poses not shown elsewhere. Also a huge must have for those of you who enjoy cosplaying as Sailor Moon characters; this book often has good run downs on the many costumes the characters wear (and if you use Alex Glover’s translations you can also figure out what Takeuchi has to say about the various design elements.) Infact, the sketches look more like fashion templates sometimes! The black and white illustrations are the starting point for some well known cel illustrations, and the manga is called “Parallel Sailormoon” and is rather humorous.
Images are printed on thick gloss paper, and the cover scan below doesn’t show it very well, but the title is written in embossed silver. This artbook is sometimes referred to as a “6th” artbook; you may want to verify if someone ever does say there is a 6th artbook.

Again another expensive artbook, even though the original cover price seemed reasonable for what you got. If you happen to come across this book, nabble it! The only rarer Sailor Moon artbook out there is Naoko Takeuchi’s doujinshi artbook ‘Infinity.’

p.s. if you would like translations of the text in this book, check out Alex Glover’s translations.
