| Comments | A book bought solely on the recommendation from Stuart, I’m not at all dissapointed with it. This is another series specific artbook thats absolutely stuffed full of quality cel & promotional images from the El Hazard series and OAV. The artwork for this Magnificent World is rather unique, when I first flipped through the book I was reminded again about how I thought it rather “art nouveau.” Illustrations are drawn by various artists, including the character designer Kazuto Nakazawa.
The reason this book only gets a “good” rating is because I am not too impressed with the print quality. A number of the cel illustrations have a faded quality to them… as if you were viewing them through an uncofused camera lense. Images like these are small in number, but it’s annoying to me considering how much the book is worth.
This is a very “complete” collection of images, and is a must have for anyone who is a fan of the series. |
