| Comments | This book was recommended to me by a friend and a big fan of the series, and while I can see why it would appeal to a fan of the series, it just doesn’t classify as an artbook imho. Containing only 16 colour images, the bulk of this book is taken over by character, mech & world sketches with accompanying notes. As the title suggests, this book concentrates on the design of the series ranging from expressions and poses of each of the main characters, to Guymelef designs and scenery.
This is a great book for anyone whose keen on drawing in the Escaflowne style or exploring the Escaflowne world, but other than that, I can only recommend this to fans of the series. There are better Escaflowne books out there!
Note: this book is one of the hardest to find, and as such, there are many bootleg copies floating around. |
