| Comments | To all fans of bishy beautiful boys, take heed! This book is absolutely choca full of em… and wow are they drool worthy @_@; The cover scan doesn’t show it, but the black area on the front cover is infact gold… the men on the covers are a prime example of what lies within these hard covers. Printed on thick glossy paper, painted in lush vibrant colours are images of men (and a few women!) all looking very dashing and yummy indeed.
While this book has obvious yaoi undertones, it is NOT obviously so (I’m talking obvious, as in where the boys are insanely thin and being dominated by older men yaoi!) The men in this book are MEN! And there is nothing “overtly” revealing or obvious about the relationships between the characters in these imagea… infact if you were a non-anime/manga fan viewing this book, you’d think it nothing but a lovely collection of males to please a female The artist really does know how to create characters who seem more “real” than stylised “manga.” I would not be at all surprised to see one of these guys walking down a trendy Parisian street, or stalking the jungles – many are from manga she has done including ‘Innocent Bird,’ ‘Specter,’ ‘Gate’ and various novel covers.
Strongly recommend this book to everyone, but if you have a thing against yaoi in general, would advise to steer clear. The price tag is what gives this book only a good rating, but other than that, buy it! |
