| Comments | Following on from the first collection, the artwork contained within is definitely much more risque! If you have anything against men in “compromising” situations, with eachother, steer clear of this book! That being said, I prefer this book because the quality of the sketches themselves are far higher than in the first book. Many of the sketches focus around her own series, including Ja Dou (14 pages) Platonic Dance (4 pages) and Dragnet (4 pages.) There are two pages of sketches from Delfinian War (which is a surprise as there is a whole artbook dedicated to her works from this series) as well as fan art for series such as Vision of Escaflowne (1 page) G Gundam (6 pages) Samurai Spirits (1 page) and a thoroughly dishy Duo Maxwell from Gundam Wing. Also are several pages of sketches she has done around a music group – Amadeus? Very nice stuff (although seeing guys dressed up in tight suits with sequins and feathers was a bit interesting, to say the least!) Like the first book, the entire package is neat, and the cover again printed on the “corrugated card” paper.
As the first book, this only gets an average rating. The lack of colour work and the cost were the deciding factors, plus the issue of “lots of text but I can’t read it.” I am sure there are translations online somewhere, if someone knows of any, please send them my way |
