| Comments | This book was another one of those impulsive buys, inspired more by the recommendations of a group of people on an artbook forum. I had money to spend, and it was there listed at JPQueen for a fairly good price, so I bought it.
Initially I wasn’t too impressed with this book. It’s presentation was faultless, but the artwork just didn’t strike me as anything overly special… but then it grew on me the more I looked at the images. Grew and grew upto the point where I could see the exquisite detail and refinement not only in the line work, but in the colouring. The innocence of the characters, so charming and sweet (without being cloying) and stylish too. The book comes in an opaque slip case cover, with the spine printed in white and the title printed on this in blue. The hardcover of the book gives added strength to hold together all 87 pages of this book, a good idea since the pages are of a thick matte stock, making the book heavy. If you’re a jaded fan looking for something different, check this book out. I definitely think it’s worth it. |
