| Comments | Yet another artbook bought out of a whim, based on the cover art of the book; and while I am not dissapointed with it, I think sometimes I should be a bit more careful XD This book contains artwork done by the artist Kanan for the series Galaxy Angel. As such you will find all of the main characters featured, with a strong emphasis on the girls of Galaxy Angel (wait, were there even any guys in that show!?) The art is not animation art, and while I love the poses he puts his characters in (and the fact that these girls actually look like curvaceous females!) I find that the artist’s style is… rough. Almost rushed. Certain angles don’t look right, the way he composes certain scenes, the perspective and the poses just a bit off… all of which lends athe art a certain “flat” quality. It’s not helped that the pages are made of a matt paper.
The wrap around cover is made of a matt card, and the book itself feels rather flimsy. I think if you don’t handle this book carefully, you may find it will start falling apart, it definitely dents easily
A definite must for fans of Galaxy Angel, and anyone who likes pretty bouncy buxom wenches
N.B. Text is in Japanese, obviously, but I had to point this out because people can confuse themselves into thinking that because the publisher is BROCCOLI, the text will be in English. |
