Comments Fans of Koge Donbo’s distinctive style will love this artbook. For you guys, stop here and just buy it, trust me, you’ll love it XD
For those of you who are not so familiar with the artist’s style, imagine sugar coated cuteness, pretty flowers, angel wings and star dust. Long flowing hair, huge doe like eyes and smiles so bright you’ll need shades. Donbo’s style is a mixture of childish cuteness with just a dash of adult beauty and her fashion sense is just breath taking.
Her work will definitely appeal to shoujo fans, and maybe even a few jaded shounen fans ;)

Pita-Ten Illustrations show cases artwork drawn by the artist herself, and not work from the animation. Thus it is far more detailed, and in my opinion, beautiful than the cel art from the anime. Most of the images are full page spreads, full/lush colour and characters in a variety of poses. If you’re familiar with the artist’s work on DiGiCharat be aware that the characters she draws for Pita-Ten are more developed and look even far more stunning not only in appearance but in the way she has drawn them. Colours are soft and pastel like, with splashes of vibrancy that resemble jewels.
All the major characters from the series are represented, many in various poses, dress and mood.

The cover of the book is a wrap around made of a textured type of paper, with lines running horizontally; and the text ‘Pita-Ten’ is embossed in gold. In the picture below it appears black, but thats only due to the scanner not being able to capture the gold. It is very important that you ensure that these two features are present (the gold embossed title, and the textured wrap around) due to the fact that there are bootleg copies of this book floating around.
The pages within are a medium-thick semi-gloss variety, which I believe suits the artwork perfectly.

If you love shoujo, or cute innocent art… or if you just love this artist… buy this book.
