Comments When I received the Togihime Zohushi No Ni portfolio set, I was admittedly surprised by how small the entire package was. Approximately 18 x 10.5cm in height/width, this wasn’t in the least bit like any of the other Togihime items released.
Opening it up and exploring it, my surprise quickly turned into pleasure.
The set contains two booklets, each containing a slip out length of card folded concertina style, made to resemble a folding screen, and slipped into the flaps of the cover. Each folding screen contains 7 panels of images on each side, with a further 6 panels devoted to title and cover images; this represents a total of 16 images per booklet (including the inner cover images) and a total set value of a sweet 32 images to feast your eyes on ^_^

As mentioned, there are two booklets, a dark brown one, and a red/orange one. The dark brown booklet contains two images on the inner cover, one of a warrior and another of a preistess, and when you unfold the the folding screen you see beautiful women, drawn only in the way Shirow can draw. All images are brand new, and are just stunning. I can’t begin to describe how lovely these images are. The predominant theme, as per the previous Togihime Zohushi, is warriors, shrine maidens and preistesses. If you flip the folding screen over, you get even more images, making it a total of 16 unique images.

The red/orange booklet has a similar format, except it is more ecchi in nature. The cover images (featured below) are brand new and not repeated in the dark brown booklet, and are a prescursor to the images to come. This folding screen contains more ecchi versions of most of the images in the dark brown booklet (bar one where the only change is to colouring and background imagery.) There are a further two new images in this ecchi version too.

Also included is a slip of paper that on one side contains advertising on upcoming Shirow products, and on the other side instructions on how to use the covers as mount/stands for the folding screens. Note: Unlike the previous Togihime Zohushi, this is not a calendar; if it is, my set must be missing the date stickers because nothing like that comes with this set.

All in all a most satisfactory buy, and at that price, well worth the price!

    Zeb,

Wow! That looks so cool! That art is gorgeous. Shirow is THE master of combining hand-drawn art with computer generated art.

I’m always supprised everytime I see new Shirow art…and I thank him for that :)

Yay! Glad you like it Skicow, I definitely am very pleased with it as well. After so long with nothing specifically Shirow related, this is a nice thing indeed to whet our appetites with!

And you’ve been approved hun, you can now leave your opinions on any of the reviews I have written :)
