Comments: This book is one I am sure many fans of Tooko Miyagi have been looking forward to, but I would strongly recommend against if you own any of her previous artbooks.

Why? Because most of the content within this book, can be found in her older works ‘World End,’ ‘Tarot World’ and the postcard book ‘Matenboshi.’ 40 images to be exact, in varying degrees of size, colour print and quality. That leaves you with only 26 new pages worth of images to enjoy.

The book is seperated into 5 sections:
Fantasy of Tarot (all of which are repeats from the previous art collections as mentioned.)
Fantasy of Wing (most of which are repeats.)
Fantasy of Game (new content)
Fantasy of West Wind (new content)
Fantasy of Monochrome (black & white art, with two to three illustrations per page.)

While I would be tempted to give this book a poor rating, I must admit that if you’re new to the artist, or haven’t been able to get your hands on her older artbooks, this artbook would be the one to get, above the rest. It collects together what I think is some of the best of Tooko Miyagi’s work in a very nicely presented manner, and represents an affordable alternative to many who may have difficulty sourcing her work.

The title of the book Fantastic! with a crown are embossed in gold on the front cover of the book, with gold swirls and starts printed across it (think fairy magic!) The pages are a thick matte variety, which suits the artwork very well indeed.

Get this if you don’t have any of her other books, or, if you are a fan, get it for the new content alone; which shows a definite change in her style of illustration. This book gets the average rating simply because it does have so much repeated artwork, and not much by way of new illustrations considering the price of the book.
