Clarity of image and colour is definitely better with these images.

Aahhh see I am different, I enjoy looking at cross stitch from all angles, and there is a certain beauty seeing cross stitch close up like that
It really brings out the colours and the textures.

I have alot of different settings on my camera, but haven’t worked them out. I think I’ve seen her photos, but personally I don’t like up close with cross stitch, they always look better further away:)

The colour and the clarity I guess is a lot better with the dSLR and just the fact that I was working with a higher quality image all up was refreshing

A lot of photos I see of cross stitch is usually really dark, too much flash and not enough detail of the design itself. There is a lady on the LJ cross stitch comm who takes some really excellent photos of her work. You can see every level of detail, down to the fibres on each stitch! Beautiful photos.

I had a wee play on photoshop with my own photos and had found closeups, like my cross stitch looks pretty good zoomed into 100%, but normal point in shoot had alot of noise zoomed up.

I’m not very good at seeing diffences, but can see the sharper lines etc.
