Stitching Thankyous

I am always humbled when complete strangers take the time to do something nice for me, even more so when friends and loved ones do it.
People are busy, have their own concerns and worries, so for them to take a little time out to remember me and think about me is always very very special.

So this post is me wanting to thank two people.

First of all Marie and her team at ABC Stitch Therapy. Soon after being made redundant they were the first people I contacted in terms of sourcing some of the Just Nan cross stitch designs I desperately wanted. Not only did they deliver, they far exceeded my expectations.
They sent me free Just Nan charts. Charts that were next to impossible to find! Kari’s Snowflake and Dragonfly Summer to be precise. I was absolutely gobsmacked when I saw them! Both are rare designs, released way back in the early 2000′s.
So thankyou Marie and team. I really appreciate the fact that you do look after your customers so well; you’ve got a devout fan in me!

Secondly, I want to thank an Australian stitcher called Gill. She was browsing my site and checked out my wishlist, then messaged me on the forum we belonged to, and offered to send me a design I have been after. Completely out of the blue, and utterly sweet.
Received it today, and Gill had also included two hand-dyed silks by Vicki Clayton!
Thankyou so much Gill! Please also check out Gill’s new stitching design studio Dark Side of the Moon. She’s just started, but the designs she has made are gorgeous!

In other stitching news, I’ve finished stitching the project I have been working on, and will share photos of it with you next week… but in the mean time, check out my Cross Stitch Stash page for more stash photos!

Things to note, all those magazines contain Teresa Wentzler designs… and the Sparkling Iris frame was done by the company Ashleigh Manor. They do gorgeous frames and I have since learned that Just Nan sources most of her frames from them.
Which means, if I can’t find a Just Nan frame through the usual methods, I can go searching through stockists of Ashleigh Manor frames :D
Thanks Emily for that tip!

    Tsk you do help, you enable me and motivate me :)

    @Mysti
    Most likely they’re recent releases so there will be quite a bit of talk about them; and quite a few online stitching stores will have featured them. :)
    I think too someone posted about them on the LJ cross stitch comm!
