A day at the markets
Posted by Zeb in Random on May 23rd, 2010 | 9 commentsAfter the week of storms and coldness we’ve had, yesterday was a refreshingly beautiful day. Warm, sunny, blue skies… perfect for spending outdoors checking out the various markets in the city… specifically the Britomart farmers market and the Auckland City market.
There were some delicious foods available and some interesting wares. Definitely not enough time or stomach space to try everything out. 
I got snap happy too, so I won’t bore you with my blather, and let the photos do the talking instead.
Notables I must point out:
The Godmother Cupcakes – BEST. CUPCAKES. EVAR. Without a question.
Hakanoa Handmade Ginger Beer – forget Bundaberg, this ginger beer is so delicious and good for you.

Admittedly they are a pain to make, and most of the ones I have tried have either been bleh or sickeningly sweet… but these… THESE are DIVINE.
TBH I’ve been avoiding the interwebz with a passion ^_^; trying to concentrate on other things these days.

It was one of those gorgeous days where you could quite easily relax in the sun and take everything in… the place had a fantastic markety atmosphere.
As for the cupcake… mmm nom nom nom.

Well Laura and I are planning to go to the Clevedon markets not this coming weekend, but weekend after. Wanna come wanna come?
