Let’s try this again

I hate blog posts like this, so I’m going to keep this bit brief. I suck at updating. Why? Cause I have too much to write about, so I just don’t write. It’s overwhelming, I’m lazy, yada yada.

So what makes things different now? Well I’ve decided to focus just on one set of interests, i.e. crafting. Everything else is an aside that I may or may not post about depending on how I feel. This includes anime/manga related stuff. You’ll notice all the menus have been updated with lots of links removed. While the content is still available on this site, it’s not the main focus. Quite a few galleries have been removed too; if you’ve come here looking for the anime/manga related galleries, contact me.

Onto the fun stuff :)

I have been stitching lately. With the launch of the project I’ve been working on for the last year, I’ve needed to resort to some more peaceful, non-demanding activities, and stitching fit the bill.

Two wips I have on the go:

Needle Gaurdian by Teresa Wentzler

Started this a while ago and just need to do the over one lettering, the border and the Kreinik on the dragon. I’m wanting to change the lettering to read Zeb’s treasures, touch them and you’re toast.

Started this mid-way through Needle Guardian because I needed a break from that design. Oddly enough this design just flowed so beautifully and it’s taken me just 5 hours to get this far. Again, need to add the Kreinik, some beading and a bit more stitching and it’s done. Will be one of the pieces I take away with me on holiday tomorrow.

Lastly, I stitched this design ages ago… and I do mean ages ago. It was stitched for an exchange last Christmas, and somehow I forgot to share it. Sharing now because I’m pretty chuffed with this piece. Love the way it all turned out with the candy buttons, the colourful buttons for the eyes and so on. Yup, happy… and the recipient was too!

I’m on holiday tomorrow. Off to my own beach side cottage up north. Will be taking lots of photos, many of which will be shared on my Twitter if you are interested.
