Kazuya Minekura is definitely something unique. Not quite shoujo, not quite shounen, she’s definitely an acquired tasted. I must admit, when I first saw the artwork for Saiyuki, I wasn’t too impressed. Sharp angles, gaunt features and strange colouring (also not a single female in sight!!!)...
