Just Nan Design List
I have been stitching for several years now, but only very recently became a massive fan of Nan Caldera’s work under the Just Nan brand. Unfortunately because Nan has been producing designs for many years, a lot of her older work is hard to find, both information on, and the actual design itself.
While the Just Nan website has an excellent product list of her current work, it is difficult to find information on her older & limited edition designs. This page intends to address this by listing the information with photos if available. It is a work in progress and cannot exist without the contributions of fellow stitchers and Just Nan fans around the world. If you can contribute to this page, whether it be photos of stitched Just Nan designs, photos (but not the detailed images that show a workable pattern) and any history about a piece, use the comment feature below, or contact me direct using the contact form.

This kit contains 28 CT Zweigart White Linen, DMC Floss, metallics, beads, 14k Gold-Plated Butterfly Charm, needles, graph, instructions.
Butterfly Lace (code CS01) – 1999
Part of the Charm School Designs card series. Uses the FlutterBead (code JNC06.) Finishing suggestions – mount in a Treasures In Wood Walnut Box (code #TIW45.)
1999 Christmas Treasure Box (code UNKNOWN) – 1999
Available in a limited number of 2,000 kits for classes only, each kit contains: colour mini-leaflet, instructions, 7 large stitch ciagrams, all embellishments, floss palette, 5″ square burgundy box, 24″ of metallic gold box trim. Shops added the fabric, thread and needles; with a materials list provided.
It is designed for the last Christmas of the 1900′s, and graph for 2000 provided too.
Sleeping Angel Charm Graph (code SAP6) – 1999
Small chart with graph and instructions. Comes with Antique Gold Sleeping Angel Charm (code JNC11.) Mount in Martin Winkler “Magic” Box (code #9413/01) available from Access Commodities. Gold Box Trim available from Just Nan.
Love & Roses (code LRP6) – 2000
Pattern card similar in size to the complimentary charts, that comes with graph, instructions, and an embellishment pack containing beads and 4 gold flower beads. Designed to fit a Martin Winkler Wine Satin Heart Box (code #9404/09.)

Kari’s Snowflake (code KSP6) – 2001
This unique snowflake design was inspired by the tin ceiling motifs at Kari’s Needle Workshop in Wausau, Wisconsin. The pattern can be done in three different color/floss choices: Lilac, Blue or Rose. Embellishments and gold snowflake charm are provided with this pattern which can be done on a choice of three different fabrics:

Chart was designed specifically to fit one block of Graziano Riviera Natural/Burgundy Tattersall linen. Uses Just Nan’s Frosty Flake Charm.
Jump For Joy (complimentary code CP22) – 2003
Chart was complimentary/free when purchaseing the White Rabbit Charm (code JNC34.) There is a frame also available for this design entitled “Jump For Joy Frame” available from 3 Rivers Framing 412-741-2099.
Pearl Orchid Pattern Pack (code PP1) – 2003
This pack contains full instructions, graph, 28 Ct Zweigart Cameo Rose Cashel Linen, Spring Frocks Over-dyed Silk, pearls, beads, and Exquiste hand-painted Orchid Charm.
Beaded Rose (code BNA04-BR) – 2004
Nan designed this as a special promotional piece for the 2004 Nashville Market, for attending shops. Sold only during the show, the little package contains the chart, tiny beads and amethyst crystal rondele. The frame is Sparkling Jewels Frame available from Just Nan (code SJF.)
Gingham Quilt Pattern Pack (code PP3) – 2004
This pack contains full instructions, graph, 28 Ct Natural/Burgundy Gingham Linen and Painted Tulip Bouquet Charm.
Angel Melody Limited Edition Whimzi (code UNKNOWN) – 2005
WhimZi Limited Editions are shop commissioned designs provided exclusively to the shop associated with the design. Just Nan produced them in extremely limited quantities as specified by the shop. Angel Melody was commissioned by Needlecraft Corner to commemorate their 25th anniversary, and they have almost sold out.
Each kit contains the chart, instructions, stitch diagram, and enlarged views of her little face which is over 1 thread. The embellishment pack contains metallic gold beads, 1 opalescent glass flower, Au ver a Soie silk threads, Kreinik #4 Gold Braid pre-strung on a floss palette, 32 count Opalescent White Belfast, regular needle and beading needle. Angel Melody is framed in a new Gold-Embossed frame manufactured exclusively by Just Nan. You will also receive a gold clasp for attaching a gold flower charm with a “ruby” center. This gold clasp attaches to the top of the frame. The frame is packed separately in a burgundy organza pouch.
Christmas Is Coming! Limited Edition Whimzi (code JNCIC) – 2005
The first of the limited edition whimzi series, featuring a cute santa sitting on a turkey. Contains graph & instructions, specialty over-dyed silks, beads, bell charm, whimzi frame and organza bag.
Purple Heart (code PH05) – 2005
A limited design released at Nashville 2005, as a companion piece to ‘Lady in Red Heart’ published in the March/April 2005 issue of the Just CrossStitch magazine. A Purple Heart mat (code PHM) is available from Just Nan to fit both these hearts. Comes with Purple Hummingbead.
True Blue Heart (code TBH05) – 2005
Released at the 2005 Nashville Show, this comes with graph & instructions, beads and glass flower bead embellishments. The True Blue Heart Frame (code TBF) is available from Just Nan, or you can try these shops.
Regency Roses (code UNKNOWN) – 2005
This very special design was commissioned by Susan Albury reflecting her unique interest in specialty samplers. Very few copies of this design were produced. Regency Roses is a mini sampler stitched on 28ct Antique White Cashel linen and is 6 1/2″h x 2 1/2″w and includes 9 stitch diagrams and a complete alphabet.
The embellishment pack includes 1 meter of overdyed silk, 2 small gold flower beads, lavender iris, antique white, alabaster pink beads and 2mm white pearls. To get your copy, please contact Susan Albury at Hanging By A Thread.
There were only 250 copies of this kit made.

Both Potpourri and Holiday in Ice are definitely complementary designs. The copyright date for HinI is 1997 and for Potpourri it is 1999.
I also have Swan Lake, which is not a complementary design. It comes with a swan charm, and the copyright date is 1996. I’m a cross-stitch nut sometimes, and I’m glad to know that I’m not the only one! Was just cruising around for any info on the particular design I just finished, wondering what others’ came out like . . .
I made mine into a box for some friends. There’s pictures. I had the Orchid one. Still have the pattern too.

I have just framed the first Just Nan on your list, Among the Roses. I have added a butterfly charm instead of the turtle as I felt it suited the design more! If you would like a photo of it for your site please let me know and I’ll email one.

The only Just Nan I have in my stash is called Amethyst Snowflake. Copyright is 1997 and it is a chart with a small pack of beads attached to it.
I have been wanting to buy amethyst snowflake. It is a retired design.
